We’ll never be what we once were

Once things change, we change ourselves. It is nice to know some people know us as we are. We can remember a time when the closeness was beyond trust~ into whatever level comes after that! These are the kinds of friendships I seek. I wish to be close, and free of secrets… Although every person has their own secrets, few.., are those of us who can share in confidence with another. In this place of optimal openness where one communes with God` knowing we are created in his image, and therefore share in his knowledge and only by knowledge does one come to understand how life will change from day to day. The people we once knew will not be the same…

It is this way when love dies.., although I do not think that is the correct term. We never stop loving someone “once” we know them for who they are. It is this insight into another that creates the great writings by inspiration and assimilation. I could not understand the meaning of friendships great magnitude until “one day” I was without my friend. If we do not learn to carry on rational conversations in our head, we will allow one thought to become dominant over the others. Thoughts are not something to be ignored, they define our very source.

It is why we reflect on the soul and ponder an afterlife. Thoughts think their way into our minds whether we we're given training in how to use thoughts, or told what thoughts we shall grow to love. Once the mind is committed to an ideology, it is almost impossible to walk away. There are many theologies and not just in the religious order, there are political, and there are social. Whether we like to admit it or not, we as a people have limited control on our destiny. There are no guarantees` that have yet to be “verified on knowledge beyond a shadow of a doubt” that after this life there will be another…

People deny and lie and learn to make their way, yet the good ones focus on helping others. Their only agenda in life is to help the human race, and they have the insight on how to do it. I have met one of these people, and I am a richer person for it. I have shared my soul with another- telling all, even thoughts I would never share with family. These people who allow us redemption should not be persecuted and said “their way” is wrong.  Just because they refuse to believe in our religious dogma, they are not without the ability to love.
