My Enchanted Paper

Treasure.JPG (557357 bytes)

There is nary a time' that I do not appreciate Photoiability! That fantastic paper that can hold the image of the one I love. I can think back to the Times of old when lovers had no photographs to hold onto. Such a simpler life back then. However, I do not want simplicity. I want my great technology, cool theology, and photography! In the instant of the blink of the eye, a transition has taken place that shall forever hold that moment. They are moments that consist of the person carrying the device they wanted to capture. I myself enjoy the commodities of variation.

It is the classic manual cameras that allow you the most discipline while taking your favorite subject. It is the electronic Unlimited photographic opportunities provided by digital, and it is the disposable throwaway that often times captures the most cherished encounters. So cherished are some People's collections that they will run into their house engulfed in flames to retrieve the family album! I do not know my history concerning the invention of the camera, or how one discovered capturing the images on glass, and then on paper, and now- today' it is digitized in the vastness of the Internet.

To be one who wishes to be creative, I find it most enjoyable to spend hours walking in neighborhoods: I do not know. Watching for weather that I can embrace, I will see something out of the corner of my eye. I will pull my camera to the ready' and zoom in on the object of my desire. Finding flowers in different seasons throughout the year. Capturing people as they walk about their busy days. Heading into nature to capture sceneries of waterfalls, autumn leaves, and adjustable sunsets so the city folk, they to~ will have something nice to look at' in their offices.

And then going to the metropolis and looking at different stones, measuring the size of the building and the integrity of the angle. Sometimes as sunset shadows begin to do a dance, It can only be captured by the ASA' as I adjust the lens, I set the aperture, and then focus into the emotion set before me. There can be no greater tragedy then destroyed negatives. There can be no greater harmony than an entire 24 exposure with perfect film. These and other reasons, I use my photography to enhance my life. After all, they are the foundations accredited with my inspiration.
